I am here in the City of Golden Friendship – Cagayan de Oro City for work purposes (attempting to explain why I am absent in the blogosphere ^_^). It’s 2:00 AM and I am guilty that I haven’t updated my dear Ramble & Relish.
Thanks to Window Live Writer again I can update everyone.
Second night here and I ate bizarre food (Addicted watching TLC), We dined at Cucina de Oro, Limketkai Drive surprisingly they served OSTRICH.
The big bird spent the last moments of its life with butter and garlic in my tummy.
I was not furious to eat it because I know it’s just a bird – a big bird, the fastest bird, that can’t fly.
It taste so gooooooooooood! As in so good that I forgot my name. LOL
The meat is cooked medium rare and it’s so juicy, so tender, so flavorful. I never thought Ostrich will taste that good.
It was served in a sizzling plate, all the while I thought it was a just a plain beef tapa.
I am recommending everyone to taste it.
But I am appealing to the cooks to take care of this specie. I don’t want it to be extinct just because I said it’s delicious.
I am hoping that they will have the Ostrich reproduce more before cooking them.
Another is Kalderetang Kambing (Goat in Tomato Paste).
I just labeled it bizarre but it’s not bizarre for me. They said Goat meat is healthier because it eats only grasses unlike pork.
Though it’s delicious, I will not eat it on a regular basis.
I will show you the other dish we ordered when I get back to Manila, okay?
What are the Bizarre Food you ate? Let me know below.
I need to sleep *zombie*

I’m so glad to hear that you liked the foods in our province. Try the ostrich burger! (huge patty and buns! good for 4 pax) I think it’s located near Liceo de Cagayan. Where do stay? anong event niyo ngayon dyan?
I stayed at the Mallberry suites, the ostrich was really delicious. 🙂
